Job Description:
Operate and fire boilers to help maintain a supply of constant steam at specified pressure to ensure proper heating and operation of the steam system.
Clean, oil, operate, and assist in repairs to boiler room equipment. Including water pumps, air compressors, boilers etc.
Responsible for maintenance of equipment adjusting bearings, tightening fittings, replacing gaskets, valves, recorders and gauges, and replacing other critical system components.
Preform routine maintenance tasks including inspections and repairs to mechanical systems to ensure longevity of the unit.
Monitor meters and gauges and automatic recording devices at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
Maintain accurate record keeping of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and any incidents for the systems.
Must Haves:
NIULPE license is preferred
Able to read blueprints and schematics.
Knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems and necessary skills. Including brazing, and soldering.
Ability and willingness to work rotational shift, if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends.
Valid driver's license with transportation.
Ability to work within a team environment and perform work safely.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
