Job Description:
As a Low Voltage Technician/Electrician, you will support commercial projects involving the installation, setup, and servicing of low-voltage systems. Your work will contribute to the infrastructure of communication, security, and technology systems in commercial facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Installation of structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, coax)
Cable pulling, routing, dressing, and securing
Termination and testing of low-voltage cables
Installation of cable trays, conduit, J-hooks, racks, and pathways
Assist with installation of security, access control, camera systems, and communication devices
Support integration and setup of network and communication equipment
Read and interpret basic low-voltage plans, risers, and layouts
Troubleshoot low-voltage issues and perform service repairs as needed
Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
Work collaboratively with electricians and technicians on commercial job sites
Must Haves:
Experience as a Low Voltage Technician OR Electrician with low-voltage exposure
Proficiency with cable installation, termination, conduit support, and device mounting
Ability to read basic drawings or follow layout direction
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Appropriate hand tools for the trade
PPE: hard hat, gloves, boots
Ability to perform physical tasks common to cabling and electrical work
